Availability

We now have an online diary and booking request facility which is powered by "Hallmaster".  This system enables regular and/or prospective hirers to see when each of the three rooms are free and to make an online booking request.  It has been up-and-running for a while now and hirers seem to be finding it useful.

 

Please use the online diary below to see what's available and when.  To see the time of a particular booking, just hover your mouse over the booking and the times will be displayed.  When booking, hirers can choose to have their details displayed as either "Private" or "Public".  If the hirer has chosen "Private", the booking will show as "Private Event" and you will not be able to click through to the underlying booking details but if the hirer has chosen "Public", you will see the name of the booking in the diary and you can click on the booking for more details.  All private parties are always shown as "Private Event".

 

PLEASE NOTE: the online diary may not show well on smaller devices such as smartphones and some tablets.  It displays best on a laptop or computer due to the width of the diary.  This is something we have asked Hallmaster to look into for us to to see how it could be improved.

To make an online booking request, just click on the + sign on the date in which you are interested and simply follow the instructions provided.  Once you have made an online booking request, you will be contacted by the Secretary regarding your booking.  Online booking requests should not be regarded as confirmed until Julia has contacted you to confirm or otherwise.

If you would rather not use the online facility, please contact Julia (by e-mail or telephone) to enquire about availability.  There is absolutely no obligation to use the online facility and we are happy to continue to take bookings as we currently do by e-mail or telephone.  We are currently taking bookings (whether online or not) through to the end of 2019.

West Horsley Village Hall is fortunate to have many regular and loyal hirers of both the Main Hall and the Cedar Room and we are therefore sometimes limited in what we can offer.  However, it is always worth checking with us because there are often sessions available, either on a one-off or a regular basis.  Generally, at the moment anyway, there is a bit more availability during the daytime than during the evenings and in the Main Hall rather than the Cedar Room but please do ask!  We also generally have much more availability during half-terms and school holidays as many of our regular hirers are term-time only.

 

Please note:  Owing to problems encountered with parties/celebrations for teenagers and adults, regrettably we no longer accept such bookings unless the hirer is personally known to either the Secretary or one of the WHVH Trustees and/or lives in the Horsleys.  Should you wish to hold such an event at WHVH, the Secretary would be happy to discuss a booking with you but the WHVH Trustees reserve the right to decline a booking for a party/celebration for teenagers and adults.

Business Hours

Hiring hours:

WHVH is available for hire between the hours of 08:00-23:30 (Monday-Sunday).  If you wish to discuss hiring outside of these hours, please contact the Secretary.

 

Office hours:

Normal office hours of 09:00-17:00 (Monday-Friday only please).  If you are unable to reach the Secretary (who works part-time for WHVH), please either send an e-mail or leave a message on the WHVH answering machine and she will respond to you as soon as she can.
